PROJECT GRADUATION 2025

It’s time to start planning the Project Graduation party for our Westwood High School seniors! The party will be held the night of graduation, Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 10pm-5am.

What is Project Graduation?

Project Graduation is a Westwood High School tradition where staff and parent volunteers transform the school into a drug-free and alcohol-free “all night party” for graduates to celebrate one last time with their friends in a safe, fun environment on the night of our graduation ceremony. More than 90% of our graduated seniors attend the overnight event, making memories that last a lifetime.

This free-to-attend, large-scale, all-night event is complete with all kinds of food, gifts, and entertainment, such as a silent disco, DJ, hypnotist, casino, and much more!

Project Graduation is a big undertaking and there are many ways you can help.

Sign up to lead a committee

First and foremost, this event can’t happen without a committee to plan and execute the party for your seniors.  At this time we are in need of a Secretary, a Family Sponsorship Chair, and a Corporate Sponsorship Chair. Planning starts in the fall for key roles with other roles activating in spring.

The Project Graduation 2025 team has planning information and templates for each area and has kindly agreed to meet with you to ensure that you have what you need to get started.

Please contact Barbie Burgett or Michele Martin at westwoodprojectgrad@gmail.com for more details about how you can step up to work with your peers to create a memorable night for your seniors.

Volunteer

It takes dozens of volunteers to pull off this incredible event and there are jobs for everyone!  We need help from Committee Chairs and everything between to a shift the night of Project Graduation.

Donate

We could not make this event so special without the generous donations of parents and our incredible Westwood High School community. This event is FREE to attend for all of our seniors, but the cost to host this party for our graduates will average $100 per student.

Parents and guardians please consider making a donation on behalf of your student to help us put on the best party possible.  With almost 700 students in our Westwood 2025 class, we have a goal of raising $60,000 for party entertainment, food, decorations and our mailbox and website fees to do this and we need your help. If we raise more than $60,000, we will purchase prizes for the seniors that will be raffled off at the event with each student having an equal chance of winning.
